Striped Tivio – aka “Tigger”

Foaled May 2, 2001

14.2 hands

AQHA and FQHA proven stallion

“Striped Tivio” is a AQHA and FQHA registered Poco Bueno line bred foundation stallion. He is confirmed through FQHA as 99.28275% foundation bred. This stallion has the breeding if your looking for foundation cow bred quarter horse stock. He is one of the most well behaved stallions I have ever been around. He pasture breeds so he is very smart about behaving himself around mares. He has been turned out with geldings and he acts like another gelding, even with mares around. He is perfect with in-hand breeding as well. He is careful and respectful and not at all aggressive or pushy.  When he is finished he goes right back to the hay.  He has excellent ground manners. He ties to anything and he will stand in the cross ties quietly. He stands perfectly no matter who else is around.  He is barefoot and has good tough feet and and stands quiet for the farrier. This stud is gentle about everything – you can swing up on him bareback and in a halter and ride him in the pasture. You can ride him in the arena with 20 horses or just sit on him and hang out by the gate. He is a nice mover and is extra smooth to ride at the trot and lope. He has a easy lead change and never cross canters. He has a little pretty head with little ears and a good honest eye. He breeds sound and has been effective on the first time for us.  We are not in the breeding or the cow horse business, we bought him to breed to some of the pony mares because of his size, looks and disposition. This horse has major value as a foundation breeding stud but he also would make someone a great riding horse as a stallion or gelding. Good age, color (line backed red dun with all the points and striping) and attitude. We are finished breeding him at this location and he is priced to sell. He would even make a super cute Quarter Pony Hunter but he is too well-bred to geld. Trades are welcome and will be considered. He has done day work and sorted cows and been roped off of but never finished out. He can be ridden English or western or on the trail. He lives in a big stall with a small run without much turn out and you can ride him daily or once a month and he is quiet as can be. He likes his nice easy life and is super sweet.
